Our Studio
Here we are in our studio, Marcia on the left, Heidi on the right. We stand at tall tables
facing each other to paint your scarves, sharing suggestions, asking, "What color with this
maroon?" At times we play the surface design version of jazz, improvising together on a single
scarf. We get excited about making unique scarves that will help people express themselves
colorfully, playful, sometimes powerfully. While we paint, we listen to music, talk about life,
take a break for a cup of tea or to walk the dog.
For two women who have a habit of accumulating STUFF ("it's a tool!...You could make something with
this..." etc.) stumbling on scarves has been a great blessing. They allow us to play with color, our
first love, AND they are flexible, light, easy to give, collect and share.
One fluttery little piece of silk can transform your outfit, your day, your body temperature.
Too many scarves? Not possible.
